Google Prompting Essentials

16 de abril de 2025

Today I want to share something I’m really excited about: I just finished a course on prompting with generative AI, and honestly, I learned a ton.

From the very beginning, I realized something crucial — the key to unlocking the full potential of AI tools lies in how you prompt them. It might sound simple, but writing a good prompt takes strategy, clarity, and a bit of creativity.

So, what exactly did I learn?

  • How to write clear, effective prompts that get results.
  • How to chain prompts together — gradually building on each output to reach more complex or refined results.
  • How to use chain-of-thought prompting, which means asking the AI to explain its reasoning step-by-step. This is great for brainstorming and evaluating logic.
  • How to create a custom AI agent — assigning a persona or role to the AI, like a language tutor or a content advisor, to get more consistent and useful interactions.
  • How to adapt and version prompts for different situations. This technique, called prompt versioning, helps reuse effective prompts in new ways and saves a ton of time.
  • And most importantly, how to use all these tools responsibly.

Why does this matter?

With everything I’ve learned, I can now use AI to draft emails, generate content ideas, summarize documents, create engaging presentations, analyze data, and more. I don’t just see AI as a tool — I now see it as a creative partner.

What’s next?

Keep experimenting. The best way to get better at prompting is by doing it. The more prompts I write, the more I understand how to guide AI toward the outcomes I want.

This course gave me a new perspective on working smarter, not harder. And that’s something truly valuable.
